Anxious to get back to work, Joe Kinnear is hopeful to be at St. James' Park for the Magpies clash against Everton on Sunday, saying:
"I feel a-OK and hopefully I will be back at work soon.
"I'm fighting fit and, with a bit of a break before the next game, I hope to be back for the Everton match for normal service."
Of the West Brom victory he added:
"The lads were terrific and it was a great result for us.
"A lot of people say West Brom defended badly, but that's sour grapes from my point of view.
"We put in a great performance and showed we can attack teams with some of the players we have here.
"I've watched through the highlights a few times now and I'm proud of the lads.
"We scored three goals and I was pleased with Kevin Nolan and Ryan Taylor, not to mention Peter Løvenkrands.
"Taylor and Steven Taylor combined well for the corner, while Løvenkrands scored and Nolan was the driving force in midfield.
"I was also delighted to see such camaraderie in the team and pleased to see that the whole squad showed their appreciation to the fans at the end."
