Maintaining a grasp on the the clubs great history, Rainer Bonhof has been named as Vice-President and will serve alongside President Rolf Königs and Vice-President Siegfried Söllner.
After eight seasons for Borussia, playing in 231 matches, in completed his career with stints Valencia, FC Köln and Hertha BSC while appearing with honour 53 times for Germany including the great 1974 World Cup champion. After his playing days concluded he joined the coaching ranks including serving the Deutscher Fußball-Bund (DFB) for eight years as well as short stint with Borussia.
He has recently scouted for Germany and Austria for Chelsea from his home in Mönchengladbach but after terminating his contract with the English club he has decided to return to Borussia.
