Khimki and Saturn Moscow merge

Fallout from the worlds financial meltdown will likely be one of the constant theme within the Football community in the upcoming year. While naturally it pales to the real world impact the reality is that the game will find itself going through a series of challenging problems after years of powerful growth.

Saturn Moscow Oblast announced today at it will be merging with FK Khimki in order to save costs and reflective of changing economic fortunes. This move is still subject to approval however Saturn Moscow general manager Boris Zhiganov commented:

"It will take some time before the merger is complete but the process has already started."
