Borussia Dortmund and VfB Stuttgart play to draw

The much anticipated duel between Borussia Dortmund and VfB Stuttgart ended in a 1-1 draw in front of a packed Westfalenstadion. With the result, the clubs are locked in the middle of the table, three points off leaders Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Schalke 04.

Behind the support of their voracious fans, die Schwarzgelben controlled much of the day and will feel slighted with the single point. Jürgen Klopp’s Dortmund went forward without Sebastian Kehl but welcomed back Dedê to the starting eleven. To the surprise of all VfB-Coach Markus Babbel brought Julian Schieber, Sebastian Rudy and Georg Niedermeier into the starting grid with Pavel Pogrebnyak, Timo Gebhart and Serdar Tasci relegated to the bench.
