BVB triumphs easily over Eintracht Frankfurt

Going into the match I was expecting Eintracht Frankfurt to put up a tough front that had seen them play Vfb Stuttgart to a draw and defeat Borussia Mönchengladbach in their last two matches, however they were completely flat and rolled-over for a 4-0 defeat. Hungarian international Tamás Hajnal and Neven Subotić were a deadly connection throughout the match with Subotić scoring twice and Tamás Hajnal and Felipe Santana each chipping-in with scores of their own.

Subotić opened the scoring only five minutes after the start as he headed-in a Tamás Hajnal cross. Die Adler's defense were looking very confused, if not just over-run and fourteen minutes later Jakub Blaszczykowski provided Hajnal a smooth set-up to score from ten meters out. The attack continued and seven minutes later the match looked to be "over" as the Subotić headed-in a Hajnal free-kick. While their were a few notable efforts after, the pace of the match definitely slowed, with the next goal coming with twenty-two minutes remaining as Hajnal's corner was headed by Felipe Santana into the net.

Unfortunately Sebastian Kehl and Nelson Valdez were both injured in the match and will not be available for this weeks match against Karlsruhe SC questionable for VfL Wolfsburg in two weeks.

Jürgen Klopp said after the match:

"I am very satisfied with the result. Seeing the difference in goal chances, our margin of victory was deserved. Tamas Hajnal´s standard situation execution was sensational. Nevertheless, Frankfurt had their chances. Too many in threatening situations for my taste as we had to adjust our midfield coverage with Sebastian Kehl´s injury. We were able to play comfortably in the second half with a 3-0 lead. We do not have any "home complex" and now it does not need to be discussed again."
