Bayern tear apart Werkself 3-0

Ideas of a late season rally for Werkself ended quickly as they lost to Bayern München 3-0 at Allianz-Arena. The only changes in Bruno Labbadia's lineup was the inclusion of Lukas Sinkiewicz and Manuel Friedrich for Karim Haggui and Manuel Friedrich in the back-line.

After an opening half in which Bayer 04 were robbed for a few obvious penalty calls, Bayern took the lead two minutes after the restart as Luca Toni charged into the box, received Lukas Podolski's pass and sent the ball in from close range. Next years captain at Köln Podolski fed Franck Ribéry from in-close to make it 2-0 just before the hour. Bastian Schweinsteiger completely split the Bayer 04 defenders and raced down the left channel from his own end before passing to Lukas Podolski who scored from ten metres.
