Rosgosstrakh Championship of Russia week 27

Week 27 of Rosgosstrakh Championship of Russia concluded with Rubin Kazan being crowned champions after their 2-1 victory over Saturn Moscow Oblast (review). Prior to that Spartak Moscow's stunning victory over CSKA Moscow (review) overturned a seven year winless stress and sets Myaso for a late run at the UEFA Cup.

In possibly the most important of the other matches Dinamo Moscow stayed within three points of CSKA Moscow for the Champions League spot overcoming Lokomotiv Moscow 1-0 with the next great story of the campaign, seventeen year-old Aleksandr Kokorin scoring the lone goal six minutes after the break.



With three matches remaining in the campaign the final European spots are completely up for grabs and with Spartak Moscow and Krysy apply pressure to overcome late.

In other action this weekend: Zenit St Petersburg defeated FC Khimki 1-0 win the lone goal coming from Danni sixteen minutes into the match.
