1899's difficult trip to Borussia-Park

1899's trip to Borussia-Park tomorrow just became slightly more difficult as goalkeeper Timo Hildebrand is out. Returning to the Bundesliga from Valencia, he was injured during a collision with Timo Rost in last weeks victory over Energie Cottbus and coach Ralf Rangnick announced he is unlikely to face Borussia Moenchengladbach:

"With Timo we have to assume that he won't play. He and goalie coach Cesar Thier will discuss his status and come to a consensus. Then we will see if he can train with the team tomorrow."

Daniel Haas will step in and the club has full confidence in his. Striker Chinedu Obasi returns from his leg injury and will make his way into the eleven although Matthias Jaissle might not be so fortunate as he is hampered with a knee injury.

1899 coach Ralf Rangnick warned that Borussia-Park will not be easy as Gladbach are fighting for survival and will have great crowd support. Passing will need to be crisp or the home side will shut down the attack. Gladbach has re-tooled their lineup considerably from the Hinrude with a number of important acquisitions including Tomáš Galásek, Logan Bailly, Dante and Paul Stalteri. If their match last week is any indication, they are not afraid to shutting down a match attack using a classic "bolt" and will only go forward if a countering proposition is clear.

This has all the makings of a tricky encounter that 1899 will need to get through with three points in order to maintain their lead.
