Following their stunning 2-1 loss to FC Rostov, CSKA Moskva responded with a 3-1 victory over Krylya Sovetov to climb within a point of top of the table Rubin Kazan and FC Moskva.
With Miloš Krasić a late scratch for the Army-Men due to a training injury on Friday
Krylya took the lead on a peculiar goal as 'keeper Eduardo Lobos long clearance bounded the length of the pitch uncleared by CSKA defenders with Yevgeny Savin sending to the left side of the net. A minute past the hour Alan Dzagoev's corner from the left into the six-yard box was headed in by Vasili Berezutsky to equalize the match. Only five minutes later the Army-Men had the lead as Vágner Love, back into the lineup after returning to full health, made it 2-0 as Yuri Zhirkov led a fast break charge only to send the ball to the Brazilian goalscorer just outside the area to finish perfectly. As time wound down Yuri Zhirkov was architect of the third goal as he navigated along the bye-line before sending the ball to Vágner Love twelve metres in front of the goal. While the Brazilian's effort was denied by the Kryla 'keeper Moussa Maazou poached on the rebound from close-range to make it 3-0.
