Gigel Bucur leads FC Timişoara to victory over Farul Constanţa

Gabi Balint's FC Timişoara maintain their third-place position in the table with a 3-2 win over Farul Constanţa.

Only nine minutes into the match Gigel Bucur connect from the spot to give Timişoara the 1-0 lead. Dejan Rusmir brought the match level one minute into added-time before the break as he flicked William Gerlem's free-kick into bottom left corner of the net. On the hour Timişoara grabbed the one goal lead as Alex Curtean's corner from the left was the beneficiary of Ben Teekloh's own-goal. Farul equalized the match only two minutes later as Willian Gerlem's free-kick into the box was controlled by Chico before driving the ball into the net from six metres. However Timişoara found the winning goal with nineteen minutes left as Stelian Stancu throw-in from the right went over Lukáš Magera and the Constanţa defenders before bouncing to Gigel Bucur to score from six metres out.

FC Timişoara returns to action on 6 May against CFR Cluj while Farul Constanţa faces Unirea Urziceni the previous day.
