With last weeks Rosgosstrakh Russian Premier-League between Zenit Saint Peter and Saturn Moskovskaya Oblast played in a closed door setting at Petrovsky Stadium, fans filled the stadium with banners of support. While many clubs seem to forget their fans easily, Zenit has went out their way to thank their loyal supporters for work with the following statement:
"By decorating (the) stadium with banners, you have added some colors to the sorrowful atmosphere of the game behind closed doors. Yury Bondar, Pavel Valdens, Andrey Polyakov, Andrey Tsindaev, Dmitry Karchevsky, Vladimir Kuprienko, Mihail Goldberg, Konstantin NIkolaev, Vitaly Tarasenko, Alexander Alehanov, Alexander Rumyantsev, Valentin Varlamov, Sergey Bagautdinov, Daniil Trofimov, Igor Kereksha - there is a bit of your labor in the teams victory over Saturn. Thank you!"
It seems obvious all club should take a good lesson from Zenit's statement and learn to be more appreciative to those who respect their crest year after year.
