Wolfsburg v Arminia Bielefeld match preview

Trailing table leader Hertha BSC by four points, Wolfsburg make the short western trip to to face Arminia Bielefeld at SchücoArena. For the "schwarz-weiß-blauen" it has been a trying campaign and resting two points above relegation Michael Frontzeck will want to squeeze out important points at home as the Bundesliga enters the final stretch run.

Since the start of the Rückrunde, die Wölfe have responded with a seven match unbeaten streak, winning their last six. The nemesis of "away" matches seems to have disappeared and Felix Magath and company are lustily looking towards the championship. Wolfsburg has a fully-fit squad for the match and will need to attack the defensive minded DSC side to break through their staunch back-line. The Bosnia and Herzegovina combination of Zvjezdan Misimović and Edin Džeko along with striker Grafite are a finely tuned scoring machine and with the addition of young Peter Pekarík, formerly of MŠK Žilina, Wolfsburg are a legitimate threat to fill the hardware case.

Home side DSC are without Chris Katongo, who is in the sin-bin as well as Jonas Kamper, Leonidas, and Michael Lamey.
