Eintracht returns home against 1899 Hoffenheim

Treading too close to the drop zone Eintracht returns home against 1899 Hoffenheim on Saturday in search of a victory. Escaping Bielefeld with a goalless draw, Eintracht know the Baden-Württemberg team are ripe for an upset and that points will provide further safety to a surging bottom portion of the table.

Since the start of the Rückrunde, Ralf Rangnick's team have barely resembled their early season form with only one win and without a goal in the previous two matches. Four points off first place now, 1899's potent attack has disappeared with the loss of Vedad Ibišević, Sejad Salihović and now Chinedu Obasi to injury.

Last week against der schwarz-weiß-blauen Friedhelm Funkel was able to re-introduce Ümit Korkmaz into the lineup and the Austrian international fared well with Alexander Meier and Nikola Petković. With a more attacking focus at home, the biggest debate will once again be between Caio or Alexander Meier.
