Following last weeks fortunate victory over Cagliari, the Rossoblu welcome Udinese to Stadio Luigi Ferraris. While much talk has been of Genoa's hopes for winning a berth in European competition, recent form has been far from convincing. Since the 3-0 loss to Roma, Genoa has steadily seen their once sharp play dull with only two wins over the six match period. Lacking in confidence, the attacking vision has grown predictable and they have only been able to find the mark twice in the last four matches. With ten matches remaining in the campaign, they will need to make some quick adjustments or they will see their European hopes dim.
For the match Gian Piero Gasperini will be without the services of Boško Janković, who is in the sin-bin as well as Anthony Vanden Borre, Thiago Motta, Alessio Scarpi and Stephan El Shaarawi. Matteo Ferrari returns and will once again anchor the back line with Giuseppe Biava and Salvatore Bocchetti in their customary 3-4-3 formation. With Serbian international Boško Janković, Raffaele Palladino will likely take his place alongside Giuseppe Sculli and Diego Milito up top.
Enjoy the match and as always I will report on it as in concludes.
