Leeds v Crewe Alexandra match preview

Now in fifth place of the table, Leeds travel to face Crewe Alexandra. For the home side, it has been a challenging year for Guðjón Þórðarson's side but they appear to be turning the corner of late and are undefeated in their previous four matches. Since taking over just before the new year the Icelandic leader has down a remarkable job and the Railwaymen are far from a pushover.

Leeds painfully bad away record will be tested without the services of Jermaine Beckford who is in the sin-bin. Simon Grayson is most likely to pair on-loan striker Liam Dickinson with Luciano Becchio upfront but the Whites will need to show greater pace against the hosts or this match will get away from them. Frazer Richardson is unlikely to feature as he is not quite ready although Andy Robinson and Andrew Hughes are available. The key to this match will be setting the midfield of Robert Snodgrass, Jonny Howson and Fabian Delph free with pace to burn and attacking the flanks of the opposition.
