Standing behind Morten Jensen

While it is impossible not to pleased with overall play against Wolfsburg in the Niedersachsen derby, coming out without points was a tough hand to be dealt. Yet the lasting problem, was that Florian Fromlowitz was shown a red-card with ten minutes remaining for “taking down” Edin Džeko in what is another dubious call at Volkswagen Arena. There is no disputing Wolfsburg has a good quality side but heading into the break they have yet to win away from Volkswagen and this is not simply a matter of being a “better” club at home but because they are consistently awarded very questionable calls.

Unfortunately die Roten were not only were victimized by an obvious dishonourable dive but lost Florian Fromlowitz to suspension and with Robert Enke out to injury, we must lay our hopes on the shoulders of Morten Jensen against Arminia Bielefeld. While number-three on the chart Dieter Hecking is confident of twenty-one year-old goalkeeper as he has been mentored well by Enke and Fromlowitz. Building on the brave performance against Wolfsburg and the victory against Karlsruher SC the week before, Dieter Hecking has stated in a vote-of-confidence in Jensen and that they will continue to be aggressive in attack.

Further details to come but I just thought fellow supporters would want to know we are not backing down and going after points!
