Steaua Bucureşti overwhelms Otelul Galati 5-0

Steaua Bucureşti maintained its five match unbeaten streak as it bullied Otelul Galati 5-0. With the victory the Roş-Albaştrii are fourth in the table in pursuit of the Europa League berth.

Bogdan Stancu gave Steaua the lead three minutes past the half hour as he received the ball from Tiago Gomes and drove the ball to the near post from the left side of the box. After Gabriel Giurgiu was adjudged to bringing down Dayro Moreno in the area and receiving a straight red-card, Dorin Goian converted from the stop to double the lead. Two minutes before the hour Juan Toja made it 3-0 as he collected a diagonal pass on the right top of the box, moved left to create space and drove the ball to the far left corner. Nine minutes later Dayro Moreno as he picked up a rebound from Andrei Ionescu's effort and hammered the fourth goal of the match in from sixteen metres. Pantelis Kapetanos added the fifth and final goal of the day with five minutes left as he headed-in Răzvan Ochiroşii's long cross from the left.
