der schwarz-weiß-blauen

With the disappointing loss to Schalke behind Eintracht, die Adler look down the barrel win an important contest on Sunday against DSC Arminia Bielefeld. DSC coach Michael Frontzeck has led his team to an hard-nosed start of the Rückrunde, grinding out draws to Hannover 96, Hertha BSC, Bochum and Köln as well as defeating Werder. The seven points have pushed them narrowly out of the relegation zone.

Never one to give away too much information Friedhelm Funkel is concerned with the health of Faton Toski and Martin Fenin for Sunday although the Czech striker Fenin is likely to be fit. Nikos Liberopoulos will definitely not be available as is Mehdi Madhavikias because of a family emergency. Marco Russ will miss out because of yellow-card accumulation and Martin Fenin, Benjamin Köhler and Michael Fink are only one away from missing next weeks home engagement against 1899 Hoffenheim. Between the posts both Oka Nikolov und Markus Pröll make the trip north but Jan Zimmermann is with the U23 side. Leonard Kweuke, Kresoi Ljubicic and Ümit Korkmaz all vie for a starting assignment but based upon last week and practices, the Austrian Korkmaz is most likely to be in opening eleven.

DSC will be missing Leonidas Kampantais and German international Tobias Rau with Michael Lamey questionable however they do have vocal captain Rüdiger Kauf back from suspension. Michael Frontzeck is calling upon schwarz-weiß-blauen supporters to get behind their side and Eintracht should expect a rugged battle with both sides searching for much needed points.
