Eintracht looks to build on victory

Following last weeks victory over Karlsruhe, Eintracht has gained important breathing room on the bottom of the table. With Schalke visit of the Waldstadion die Adler will need to be on top of their game and have the typical strong support from the stands to come out with full points.

Injuries continue to plague Eintracht coach Friedhelm Funkel as both Nikos Liberopoulos and Martin Fenin have been out of the training the last few days and the final decision on availability will come prior to the match. It is too early for
Zlatan Bajramović, Christoph Preuß, Christoph Spycher and Ioannis Amanaditis but Austrian international Ümit Korkmaz is a strong possibility.

When asked of Schalke's strength in his pre-match press conference, Herr Funkel emphasized their aerial ability:

"With Kurányi, Westermann, Bordon, Höwedes, Engelaar and Rakitić they have very stronog and good aerial players."
