In one of Wolfsburg's most daunting challenges of the year, top of the table Hertha BSC visits Volkswagen Arena Saturday afternoon. Following Wednesday's dreadful loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Cup, Felix Magath's squad are surely shaken and must show intense resolve if they are to defeat the Berliners.
Felix Magath said of the opposition:
"Hertha are, for me, one of the greatest surprises of this year. They are in the position that they are in thanks to an impressive second half of the season and I firmly believe that they can qualify for international competition in the form they’re in."
While Wolfsburg has shown tremendous ability at home without suffering a loss this campaign, they are going against a formidable foe and need to show greater respect to defending.
For the match Hertha BSC will be without Serbian internationals Marko Pantelić and Gojko Kačar, Sofian Chahed and Fabian Lustenberger. Wolfsburg has no new injuries to report and will be without Grafite and long term absence Ashkan Dejagah.
