disappointing draw for Citizens against FC København

Man City's visit to Denmark ended with a disappointing 2-2 draw to FC København with Martin Vingard leveling the match for the home side in added time. The match was far from top shelf as after a few blunders Nedum Onuoha gave the Citizens the lead when København 'keeper Jesper Christiansen was victimized with a easy shot. Although Mark Hughes side were controlling much of the attacking impetus the home side levelled the match when Thomas Kristensen corner was sent in by Aílton Almeida four minutes before the hour. Anxious to restore the lead, only two minutes later Stephen Ireland sent in Shaun Wright-Phillips following another uncharacteristic defending blunder by København. However after coming close to sealing the match out, the home side drew the match level again, as an unmarked Martin Vingard headed the ball past Shay Given.

While City has a slight advantage with two "away" goals, the match was dreadfully sloppy and neither team will advance very far with this type of performance.
