a testy match in Karlsruhe

After last weeks disappointing loss to Wolfsburg, Eintracht make the short drive south to Karlsruhe in need of points in a very important match. A victory would provide necessary points to move die Adler a reasonable distance away from relegation whereas a loss will pull them into a full fledged fight to avoid the drop. With only a draw to show for the three opening matches of the Rückrunde, die Adler are only three points above relegation as the bottom of the table have put together an impressive run.

Edmund Becker's KSC is coming off a draw to Köln and a home victory over Hamburger SV and playing nothing like a team in the bottom three. With a well placed tactical plan, they tightening defending lapses and launching on the counter. Behind their vocal supporters at Wildparkstadion, they have reemerged of late and will be prowling for three points.

The major question for Friedhelm Funkel is whether Patrick Ochs can play with a broken bone in his hand along with the rumour that Caio might take Alexander Meier's place in the starting eleven. Herr Funkel did not provide any clues to either of these and only pointed out these decisions will wait till Sunday. Aleksandar Vasoski and Ümit Korkmaz could possibly play but like Ochs will be decided late. Zlatan Bajramović, Christoph Preuß, Christoph Spycher and Ioannis Amanatidis all remain out with long term injuries.
