Werder loses again

The horrible start of the Rückrunde deepened today as the Green Whites lost 2-1 to Energie Cottbus. The win pushes die Lausitzer out of the relegation zone as they have now picked-up seven points since the restart using a tough defending plan by coach Bojan Prašnikar, combined with players who play with a fire to succeed.

Looking for the victory Sebastian Boenisch and Hugo Almeida came close for Werder with just over ten minutes left but it was die Lausitzer who found the winner in added-time when Dimitar Rangelov was played through by Timo Rost and the Bulgarian international pounded the ball into the net to give Energie Cottbus the 2-1 victory.
