Heavy injury list for Schalke UEFA Cup match

The injury list for the Schalke UEFA Cup tie is a challenging one with both Robinho and Pablo Zabaleta in question and Gelson Fernandes definitely out for the next three weeks.

As it relates to Robinho, Sparky commented:

“The medical staff will have to have another look at Robinho again. If his ankle is still as sore as it was yesterday he definitely won’t travel. His ankle is swollen after he twisted it during the Arsenal game on Saturday."

On Pablo Zabaleta he added:

“Zabaleta has a sore thigh. He didn’t train yesterday and they are not yet sure if he will make it in time. He is another that they will need to have to look at in the morning.”

Gelson Fernandes will definitely be out for the next three-plus weeks with a pulled hamstring.
