Twente scores late to beat ADO

Twente squeeze by a tough ADO side 2-1 with Marko Arnautović scoring the deciding goal with ten minutes remaining. Flashbacks of last weeks 6-0 destruction of Heerenveen came quickly as Theo Janssen continued his scoring prowess against ADO as he made it 1-0 only nine minutes into the match on his free-kick that took at opportunistic deflection. De Tukkers should have made it 2-0 as Kenneth Perez picked up where he left off last week but couldn't find the route to get another ball past Robert Zwinkels before the break. ADO came out inspired after the break and showed a greater defensive resolve before shocking the home crowd with the equalizer with fourteen minutes remaining as Leroy Resodihardjo jumped on a loose ball in-close from Pascal Bosschaart's free-kick. However it wasn't long till Steve McClaren's side found the winner as with ten minutes remaining Kenneth Perez fed the twenty-one year old Austrian international Arnautović, in the area and he struck the ball to the back of the net.

De Tukkers are now fourth in the table, two points behind second-place Ajax, five behind first place AZ. The club now turns its attention to a critical UEFA Cup match against Schalke on Wednesday.
