As we enter the final weekend of Rosgosstrakh Championship of Russia I would first like to thank everyone who has visited the blog and hopefully become a fan of the game in Russia. I have many plans for next season, with significantly increased coverage and am very appreciative of all who stop by. Now before I go into complete separation anxiety, the final week of the season has many great story-lines to it and you certainly will not to miss out on any of it.
Whilst champions Rubin Kazan will be hosting quiet the party in their season end blow-out against Lokomotiv, this match could mark great Serbian international Savo Milošević final time on the pitch. Lokomotiv will be missing Dmitri Sychev and Dmitri Torbinski whilst Sergei Semak and Gökdeniz Karadeniz are out for Rubin. However the biggest match of the day is without question, Zenit Saint Petersburg's visit of Luzhniki Stadium to face Spartak Moscow, with the victor going to the UEFA Cup. However a draw in conjunction with a Samara Kryliya Sovetov victory would move them into the UEFA Cup.
Lokomotiv Moscow @ Rubin Kazan
CSKA Moscow @ Shinnik Yaroslav
Tom' Tomsk @ Dinamo Moscow
Khimki @ Amkar Perm'
Zenit St Petersburg @ Spartak Moscow
Terek Grozny @ Samara Kryliya Sovetov
Spartak Nalchik @ Saturn Moscow Oblast
Luch-Energiya Vladivostok @ FC Moscow
Enjoy all the matches and I will report on them as they conclude.
