Wolfsburg roars back to defeat Braga 3-2 in UEFA Cup

Wolfsburg came roaring back to defeat Braga 3-2 in the UEFA Cup with Zvjezdan Misimović scoring twice in the final seven minutes of the match. The match started in a odd fashion for Wolfsburg as Braga was the beneficiary of own goal with Andrea Barzagli's clearance striking Ricardo Costa and into the goal. Twenty-four minutes into the match Edin Džeko scooped up a rebound of Ashkan Dejagah's drive and pummeled the ball into the net. Braga fought back to take the lead two minutes after the re-start as Albert Meyong redirected Matheus' pass from five meters out to make in 2-1. As the match entered the closing twenty minutes, Braga was on the verge of closing the match off but good fortune fell Wolfsburg's way. With seven minutes remaining Edin Džeko was fouled in the area and after the spot was pointed to, Zvjezdan Misimović drew the match level. Fueled with the equalizer, Wolfsburg pressed for the winner and deep into added time the Bosnia and Herzegovina international added his second of the night as he picked up a close range rebound.

Wolfsburg returns to action next Sunday against Borussia Dortmund.
