Recovering from a bad flu, Polish international Jakub Blaszczykowski entered the match, threatening with pace and creativity but BVB was unable to find the score sheet. The final piece of the puzzle came down to a great stop by goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller as he robbed Cristian Zaccardo’s late effort from point-blank range. Without another attempt the match ended without a score and both clubs earning a point.
