Gaz Metan Mediaş continues great escape with 2-1 win over Gloria Buzău

Gaz Metan Mediaş continued its great escape effort as they defeated Gloria Buzău. It was Mediaş' second successive win and lifts them within a point of Politehnica Iaşi out of the relegation zone.

Eric (de Oliveira Pereira) gave Mediaş the lead three minutes past the half-hour striking a free-kick from eighteen metres in before Ioan Mera squared the match up five minutes later as he headed in a corner. However with just under a half-hour remaining Eric (de Oliveira Pereira) grabbed his second of the day and gave Gaz Metan Mediaş the important 2-1 win as he struck a breathtaking curling free-kick from twenty-five metres to the opposite left corner.

Gaz Metan Mediaş returns to play next Saturday against Rapid Bucureşti whilst Gloria Buzău faces CS Otopeni.
