Hajduk Split defeat Zadar 3-0

Hajduk Split continued its chase of Dinamo Zagreb with a 3-0 victory over NK Zadar. With the victory Hajduk is only a single point behind first-place Dinamo in the chase for the Prva HNL crown and a berth in the Champions League.

Senijad Ibričić gave the traveling Torcida reason to celebrate six minutes in as he accepted Jurica Buljat's provision from a free-kick on the left before driving the ball in from the edge of the area. The match continued without further incident will three minutes before the hour when Zadar's Marin Ljubičić was shown a straight read for a rash challenge on Srđan Andrić. With the man advantage Hajduk doubled it's margin six minutes later with Andrić exacting revenge as he scooped up a loose ball on the edge of the area and drove it into the bottom left corner of the netting. With eleven minutes remaining Croatia U21 Dario Jertec sent a high cross to Jurica Buljat on the left, who then relayed to Mario Tičinović in the box with the seventeen year-old protégé turning effortlessly and firing into the net to bring the match to a 3-0 final.

Hajduk return to action next Sunday as they welcome Varteks Varaždin to Split.
