The Rossoblu face Udinese at Stadio Friuli with both clubs flying high in Serie A. Pasquale Marino Bianconeri have continued the promise of last season and are in a close battle with Inter Milan for the top spot of the table. His club is unbeaten in seven matches including three straight victories at home.
While Udinese is unbeaten at home this campaign, Gian Piero Gasperini's club suffer from home sickness as they have yet to win on the road in four matches with a paltry single goal. Genoa can take solace from the hard-earned point against the Nerazzurri in Milan but if they are to take the next step in their evolution as a European candidate they must win on the road.
Regarding injuries the most noteworthy concern is that Antonio Di Natale is questionable for Udinese. Genoa has Ivan Jurić but Raffaele Palladino is still hobbled. I expect Genoa to use the following formation with a keen effort to shut down the Bianconeri attack.
Genoa
Rubinho
Sokratis Papastrathopoulos, Matteo Ferrari, Giuseppe Biava
Domenico Criscito,Thiago Motta,Anthony Vanden Borre,Giandomenico Mesto/Ivan Jurić
Giandomenico Mesto/Giuseppe Sculli,Diego Milito, Andrea Gasbarroni/Boško Janković
Enjoy the match and I will report upon it as it concludes.
