Jens returns!

Schwaben hopes were answered as Jens Lehmann as decided to extended his contract with VfB till June 30th, 2010.

With the great goalkeepers leadership, VfB can continue towards their goals as Sportdirektor Horst Heldt said:

"Jens Lehmann's decision to extend his contract is an important signal for the whole club and further confirms the fact that we have lofty targets."

Markus Babbel echoed similar sentiments emphasizing not only his playing ability but hailing his leadership:

"We are delighted that Jens has decided to spend a further year at VfB. With his professional attitude, his manner and his personality, he is , in my opinion, one of the best keepers around."

Jens Lehmann, focused on VfB's continued climb up the Bundesliga table was quoted saying:

"VfB is a well run club, with fantastic fans and a positive environment, which makes it fun for me to play here. I'm looking forward to next season, but first of all we are concentrated on finishing the current season as successfully as possible."
