After leading the Bundesliga for the first half of the season with eighteen goals, Vedad Ibišević’s year might be over as he suffered what appears to be a serious injury in a friendly today against Hamburg.In a statement issued on the club web-site, there is concern he ruptured a ligament:
“A first examination has raised the suspicion of an anterior right cruciate ligament rupture. He is expected to return home and undergo a detailed examination in Heidelberg.”
