Rangers v Dundee United match preview

Following last Sundays tough scoreless draw to Aberdeen, the Rangers are in dire need of a victory against Dundee United at Ibrox. The costly draw dropped the 'Gers four points below Celtic and know that Craig Levein's side will put up a hard fight as they are targeting a spot in the Europa League.

For the match, Walter Smith has no new injuries to report but based upon mid week success in the Scottish League Cup, it should be expected that Kris Boyd will return as striker.

Noteworthy to mention, the Rangers will honour the 250th anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns prior to the match with a series of special events and of-course serve haggis pies.
