Paris Saint-Germain v Nice preview

Paris Saint-Germain returns to Ligue 1 action this weekend as Nice ventures from the Côte d’Azur to Parc des Prince. For les Rouge et Bleu, the break was much needed as they been handed hearty defeats by l'OM and Toulouse in successive weeks. Now with the international break complete the Parisians can look forward to regaining their momentum and catching up to Lyonnais who are four points ahead.

Frédéric Antonetti's side have stumbled without a win in the last five matches, thereby ridding hope of a European bid. The Niçois are a sturdy side that includes two brilliant young attackers Loïc Rémy and Anthony Modeste and cannot be overlooked. For Paul Le Guen, his plan must start with rectifying the defensive lapses that have seen his side plundered for seven times in the last two matches.

For the Parisians, there are few surprises in the projected squad list with the exception of Mamadou Sakho's return to health. His availability comes at a perfect time as Zoumana Camara is under suspension and join an injured Sylvain Armand. While the cause of much controversy during the break both Claude Makélélé and Ludovic Giuly are by all accounts ready for the final stretch drive in Ligue 1 and UEFA Cup efforts.
