Magnifique

PSG overcame Lorient 3-2 at Parc des Princes with late heroics from young striker Loris Arnaud as he scored the winning goal with only three minutes remaining in the match. With PSG striken with a series of injuries, Paul Le Guen juggled the lineup easing Jérôme Rothen to backline for defensive support. Remarkably this was PSG's finest offensive output of the campaign and the first time they have netted more than one goal in a Ligue One match this year.

Lorient took the lead thirteen minutes into the match when Jérémy Morel's cross into the box is headed-in by Rafik Saïfi. PSG drew the match level nine minutes later when Stéphane Sessegnon crosses across the mouth of the goal and Fabrice Pancrate nodded the ball to the far left corner. However that scoreline didn't last long as seven minutes before the break PSG product, Fabrice Abriel, gave Lorient the lead again with a left footed strike from dead center of the box. The match went to the break level with Clément Chantôme coming on for Jérémy Clément to start the half. PSG immediately goes on the attack and after a close miss, the match is drawn level again as a Ceará cross is headed to the back of the net by Guillaume Hoarau from the center of the box. Once again the visitors fought back as six minutes later Lorient nearly takes the lead as Fabrice Abriel hits the bar from close range. PSG returns the favour as Guillaume Hoarau drives the ball into the bar with twenty-eight minutes remaining. Mateja Kežman enters the match for Péguy Luyindula at the seventy minute mark and urges on his teammates for the winner. With defensive play clamping down the match Paul Le Guen makes his final substitution, calling upon the very promising young striker Loris Arnaud for Fabrice Pancrate with six minutes remaining. Remarkably the stage is set for the young striker and three minutes from time Jérôme Rothen crosses to him in the box and he neatly heads in the winning strike to the delight of 38,000+ at Parc des Princes.

PSG returns to action this week against Schalke 04 in UEFA Cup action this Thursday.
