Newcastle - Everton match preview

The Magpies travel to Goodison Park to face Everton tomorrow in a match-up of two clubs in varying degrees of disarray.

Newcastle's issues are well documented and far too much to summarize in a preview mash-up. However when you assume that everything that can happen has happened, something else occurs. With the rather appalling tirade of their interim manager, this club is lacking leadership from the top down and will not escape the relegation zone unless leadership comes directly from the veteran players of the club.

Everton has been having their own issues but those seem a bit overstated as while losing to Standard Liège and Liverpool maybe be difficult for their supporters, both are (quite obviously) upper-echelon clubs. Everton's flourish of late season certainly seems missing but any clatter of moving David Moyes out is madness.

Newcastle's efforts tomorrow will be greatly aided with the exclusion of Everton's Tim Cahill for the match with a late red-card last week. Everton also must deal with Louis Saha, Phil Neville and Tony Hibbert all questionable for the match but Steven Pienaar is available. The Magpies will be without Jonás Gutiérrez and Danny Guthrie returns from his three match-ban breaking Craig Fagan's leg, after the FA did not uphold its duty to protect the game from this type of shoddy play.

I will report on the match once in concludes.
